Finding London’s Ferns by Henry Miller
www.eventbrite.co.uk
Henry Miller will introduce the native ferns of London and guide us through their history, identification, and conservation.
Thanks Brenda and Ralph for another splendid walk. The flaming red tree which attracted our attention near the car park was probably a claret ash – fraxinus angustifoilia ssp oxycarpa “Raywood”. According to my Collins tree guide, bred in Australia , introduced here 1925, and now popular as a park and street tree for its breathtaking autumn colours.
No sparrows , starlings or blackbirds ? They were everywhere deades ago .
